Conclusion

As we analyzed the film, Fair Game, we came to the conclusion that the film was based upon a biased view of the actual events that occurred. The director, Doug Liman leans to the left in his political views, which was apparent throughout the entire movie. The movie was framed to portray the government as the villain and Valerie and Joe as the victims.
While researching the actual events, we found that there were two sides to the story: the democratic view, and the republican view. The democrats clearly believe that President Bush deliberately lied to the public in order to justify the country going to war. On the other hand, the Republicans consider Joe Wilson a liar and believe that the government was acting in the countries best interest.
Our final analysis led us to believe that the movie, Fair Game, is fairly accurate based upon the point of view of Valerie and Joe Wilson. However, after researching we discovered a stark contrast between the Wilson's story and that of the White House. Clearly, Valerie's name was leaked. However, there are two sides of the story of how that came to be. It is difficult to come to a general consensus as to who was guilty and who was not due to the information that was crucial to our conclusion was classified CIA information. According to the stories and testimonies of Valerie and Joe, the movie was fairly accurate and true to their side of the story.
